April 24, 2005

Tuesday(19 April 2005) afternoon was a total waste of time for the job interview. ET, ZQ, and I went over to Tanjong Pagar(yes, the same one previously) and gave a second try after receiving a call from the person who didnt manage to find my name in the stack of forms.

Dumbly, i thought it was a good chance and got ET to go down with me, and ET brought ZQ along whom waited in vain for us for a whole hour.

In the end, we waited for almost an hour for our turn for an interview after they brought us around for an orientation of the company. They introduced the high-ranks one by one, which i didnt think was relevant, and showed us pictures mounted on the wall of their boss.

The girl bringing us on orientation asked us if we found anything special on the photos. The first thing i noticed was the change of cars. All the way from a Nissan to a Ferrari, now, that's impressive.

And so, we waited....and waited.......and waited....

I wasnt that bored cuz i had my book with me, but ET fell asleep while waiting. And it didnt help that the guy behind us was telling his life story, from a student to doing sales, bla bla bla...

Right, so it's a sales job!

Forget it, we waved goodbye to the chairs that dutifully provided us a seat and walked out after no one bothered about us.

Poor ZQ was sitting on the steps of the entrance of the building, the only thing missing is a box in front of him to complete the look.

Thereafter wasting a full hour or more of my time, it was time to do something more worth it.

I met the ladies to help Nina at Pan Pacific for the graduating batch of SB students for their Graduation Ball. But before that, we had to fill our stomachs and so we did at N.Y.D.C cuz i wanted to have "Ang-Mo food".

Nina and i met up first and once we entered N.Y.D.C, we both felt the waitress serving us looked like Miss Kwa! It's scary man, cuz she looked like a Malay Ms Kwa, very alike!

Some shots...

And Win joined us..

Then we proceeded to the hotel room to put our things down before we started our 'mission'. The sea-view that the room overlooked was beautiful...

The theme for the ball was "Moulin Rouge", but only a few made an effort to dress to the theme. The rest wore normal 'prom-night' kind of dresses, and all of us agreed black was over-worn. The 4 of us stood at a corner while Na was busy running here and there and we started to 'spot-the-trend'.

Some wore flattering dresses, some 'eh-hem-ly' dressed, and some dressed to the theme.

We were like fashion police, spotting this and that, this person and that person. Haha..

Some people must be thinking what were we doing standing at a corner under-dressed. We walked around the hotel and ballroom as if we the hotel guests and enjoyed ourselves gossiping.

We then got back to the room to collect our stuff and decided to take some pictures since there werent anyone else in the room.

The Night-view...

We were commenting on how near Conrad was and how easy it was for anyone to seee with their naked eye on what's happening right across...

Some of our stomachs started growling and we decided to have some snacks at Pacific Coffee, the cafe i have always wanted to try out when i walked pass City-link Mall.

Rice and I had Japanese Salad(consists Chicken bits, Teriyaki sauce, an egg, some vegetables and a tomato..haha..), Nity had a Muffin and a drink, and Win had a large cup of yummy hazelnut coffee(eh, cant rem the exact name).

All in all, we enjoyed ourselves pretty and i got home in time to catch Eye for a guy 2. Haha...

As for now, i've sort of given up looking for a job myself, as in i've handed the mission over to Recruit Express at JTC building, hope thye find a job for me soon, like NOW! Geez...

Til Then Folks..
