TVXQ! 동방신기 東方神起 Tohoshinki

TVXQ! 동방신기 東方神起 Tohoshinki

These five mainly 21-year-old guys from Korea have been topping the Korean and Japanese(Oricon) music charts. Leading the korean wave(hallyu) around asia, these guys have what they've got to rise to such fame - Vocal and dance skills, plus looks - all of them were chosen to be artistes with SM Entertainment after winning nation-wide contests held by the largest entertainment company in Korea. They have won countless pretigious awards in Korea through the years but they are not intending to stop just there. Mastering the Japanese language only added to their advantage in the Japanese music industry, the 2nd largest after America. True enough, they are doing well all around asia these days and still constantly trying to conquer greater heights.

Take a glimpse at their acapella skills from this short video from their 2007 concert in Japan!

And this is the song that attracted me to them.. ;)
Tonight

...this is a "live" version.

This is a coverage done by a English TV station in Korea, Arirang, of TVXQ's climb to fame, in English language.
Part 1

Part 2

By the way, when they mentioned the countries that they were well-received in, they forgot to mention the rising number of fans in Singapore and Malaysia. Ya, I'm one of them in Singapore. Only, I'm over-aged to be screaming and jumping if I see them, I'll just laugh and remain infatuated at most. Hahahaha...

Enjoy!

Cheers! Love ya!

Public Relations Campaign Planning and Management

Finally, both Advertising and Public Relations modules are over. It's a tiring yet fruitful 18 days.

We learnt a lot, and played a lot. It's always fun with my clique of nine, and you can call us selfish, but we're really happy with nine. Not less, nor more.

Prof. Griffin was fine, not as notorious as we've heard. Actually, I think her rules are reasonable - things like being punctual, doing your assignments, participating in class. She's pretty entertaining too, with all the stories about her family and colleagues to emphasise certain points of the lecture. As long as you follow them and do your work well, she's really fine.

Second last day of PR lectures, all of us decided to accompany Celest and wear pink. Prof. Griffin challenged her to wear pink for all the 18 days of lecture, and no doubt, she made it, except for the last day for power suits.

See, our princess is all dressed in pink, even her socks and insides are pink - full set. (Except for James who refused to change into the pink shirt Celest brought for him. Good Daryl changed into pink...)

Time for some planning again. This time, crisis management. Preparation for our press conference, again in Pines KTV. We seemed like we were having a good time huh? Well, actually, it was pretty good, except for Jolene who was totally stressed out and thought the rest of us had nothing better to do.. oops...
See, she's singing with the styrofoam microphone and trying to swallow the small mic.

Last Day of class! Press Conference! And CREA8 is ever ready.

DV Camera; fake mics from styrofoam; speaker from a straw, pom pom and funnel; make-shift company tag - All out of the hands of our dear Celest.

And I gotta praise our spokesperson, Jolene. You did a great job answering all those questions! When we were asked why we chose Jolene as our spokesperson, I sort of wanted to answer, "because she has pretty dimples," but I went ahead to say because she has the composure to deal with pressurising circumstances like such - which is true too. Celest and I will go blank if it were us, and Anais would throw the chair at "hostile reporters." Hahahaha...

Time to plunge into my advertising and public relations campaignS!

Cheers! ;)

Clarice's Birthday! - July 4, 2007

It's long overdue, but there you go...
My face's super white here... haha.. Anyway, we managed to meet up after a long long time for our Ms. Japanese-wanabe's birthday at The Chocolate Factory. Nina brought her huge SLR, but The Chocolate Factory didn't allow photo-taking at their premises, so we could only do with a few photos. Gavin the "abang" also joined us before rushing back to camp.

Getting gifts for Rice isn't too hard? We showered rice with presents that had everything to do with Japan. Pretty kimono fabric-made bags and pouches. Even I like them too.. Heh...

Cheers!!~
