While we're here complaining about how schooling in Dec sux, people in those terribly stricken areas are desperately trying to locate their loved ones who are still not accounted for.

As the seconds tick pass as you flip through the newspapers or watch the news coverage on this natural disaster, another body might just have been uncovered, cremated, or buried.

My greatest condolences to all who were affected.

We don’t know, and wouldn't want to understand how the survivors of the Tsunami feel now, because no one would want such a thing to happen.

Some attributed this natural disaster to be the consequences of humans' doings, some say it's God's will.

Well, I sort of agree with both.

Humans have been depleting natural sources at a shockingly tremendous speed. It's sad to say they we are the guilty ones. Since humans reined the world, overtaking dinosaurs and all other ancient creatures which once roamed this lands, we have been 'injuring' our planet.

My DVPA group was having our brunch at the benches outside FC6 and we started talking about the Tsunami that mercilessly took with it thousands of lives.

Clarice mentioned that in the bible, the last book of bible(correct me if I’m wrong cuz I'm not sure), it's mentioned that the world will finally come to an end, but God wouldn't end it with a flood.

We all agreed that the world will eventually come to an end one day. Whenever such a topic is posed, one question would come to my mind, "What will I do?"

My answer is to stay with my family, tell them how much I love them, and stick together till the last second. Before the last second, I would probably call up(of the lines are still working) all my best friends and close relatives.

If there's a next life, I want my life to be just the way it is now. I want the same parents, same family and same (or better) relatives, same friends, same environment, same feelings, same everything. (Ok, maybe it'll be good if we're rich.)

Geez..

This reminds me of a Japanese drama I had seen lately on SCV Channel 56(if you’ve seen it, it's "Long Love Letter" or "Piao Liu Jiao Shi"). It's not a lot on the romance part, but what captured me was the reality in life that they projected.

It talks about a school being sucked into a vacuum and it sort of transported the students and a few teachers to the world a few decades later, around year 2020.

Upon traveling pass time, the people in the school realized it wasn't the world they were familiar with anymore. The buildings where they once shared their joyous moments were completely different. People around them who were all caring and nice became selfish monsters who stop at nothing to get their stomachs filled.

There was no water, no food, no humanity. All that surrounded them were vast deserts.

Clouds weren't ordinary clouds. They were clouds carrying poisonous chemicals that could kill when taken in.

They were the only humans of our kind left. They survived on meager amounts of food and water that were available in their storeroom.

Apparently, the humans of our kind were wiped out. Humans of our kind evolved into monster-looking creatures. They had no humanity, and killed any other "weird-looking" thing.
Many of them did not manage to pull through the ordeal and collapse one by one.

In the end, it seems the remaining ones were transported back to where they came from, that is, the present.

It might also be they died in the future world and their souls went back the to present world.

It didn't have an exact ending, and they left the viewers to decide the ending.

Being a person who doesn't like sad endings, for shows and in real life, I decided to interpret as they all went back safely to where they came from.

The morale of the story is, STOP HARMING OUR EARTH. WE'VE DONE ENOUGH DAMAGING THINGS; IT'S TIME TO REFLECT.

It's a rather interesting show, you might want to rent or buy or do whatever to get hold of it's VCDs and watch the story yourself. ;)

Stop smoking, it's polluting our earth. Stop throwing too much waste; it's polluting our earth. Stop wars, it's not at all beneficial. Stop all conflicts and selfishness, it doesn't do anyone good.

While there are people who care only for themselves, they are still noble selfless people who give a helping hand in times of need.

It is normal for humans to reveal their selfishness, especially in times where surviving is the ultimate goal in life.

It is quite consoling that the rest of the world are lending helping hands. No matter what reason these countries send help and rations, their actions are much appreciated.

No one lives alone.

However, when life seems all dim and meaningless right now, there's no doubt we still have to carry on our lives as usual.

Come on, it might not be that bad after all. Who knows? The world might suddenly awake one day (hopefully) and we'll stop doing foolish things and the world will not come to an end?

There're miracles, and I believe there are.

(Song: There will be miracles…when you believe…)

Til Then Folks..
