A Day at the Zoo

Early morning,(alright, not very early actually) at 10am, the whole family woke up and started getting ready for our adventure at the zoo.

After some washing up and packng, we set off, our moods as bright as the sun.

On the way...

Finally there...

First stop is always the Tree Top Trail...

Bro, Mum, and I with the camels..

This cheeky bear kept looking at us..(cuz we were enjoying our KFC Popcorn shake in front of it. Poor bear, it muz have hoped it could jump out of it's enclosed area and have lunch with the humans..geez..)

A mid close-up(MCU) of it..

It seems like this animal has meat floss as its fur..

Another cheeky fellow..what an awkward and suggestive pose..hmmm..

Rhinocerous with its baby. Te baby follows the mother everywhere! Awww...

Then it started to drizzle, but it didn't deter us from fun..

But the drizzle gradually became heavier and we decided we had to seek shelter..even the zebras are seeking shelter..

The African Wild Dogs were running for shelter too..

Although it slowly became a drizzle again, and despite the fact that they might cancel the animal show since it was still raining, we persisted and proceeded to the amphitheatre, hoping for the best..

And guess what? Our wish came through! Heaven took pity on us, the poor kids, and decided to let the rain stop for a little while for us to enjoy the show! (So praying does help! p.s: People from various religions, it's useful to pray more often. Geez..)

The show started! Look at the sealion doing the back flip!

Balancing the ball while posing prettily..

Ooh?

Like i said, the rainbow always appears after the storm, it only thing is whether you see it with your heart.

The sealions were fed with so many fishys that we became a little hungry after the show. Thus, we dragged our feets to the Forest Fare and had some expensive-but-normal food. Feeling rather bored while mum n dad are queing for the food...

Oops...

Again...

A photo with Ah Meng's descendents...

Creepy huge crocodile...its tail alone is larger than an adult!

As it swims past...

Loving leopard mum and cubs..

Bro and I with a sleeping leopard..it was sleeping really soundly..

A lioness which kept 'patroling' around the glass where all the humans stood.
"Yummy, wait til i get hold of these walking slabs of meat!"
It refused to stop for a while, and i insisted on taking it's face or i won't give up.

Finally!

More lions..

This lion was keeping watch of another male lion, for fear that it's wife would be harassed..Great husband! Once the other lion came near, it roared at him with all its might. Gotta say it was impressive. It's roar shooked everyone standing there. Even if the rain came back, all of us held our umbrellas, watching the "good show".

Tiger Trek..

I fought with this tiger before visiting my friend...

There, my gorgeous dear friend!

The three white tigers roaming the enclosure...
Presenting to you the three beautifully breathe-taking creatures, Winnie, Jippie, and Omar!

Sponsors and adopters of 2 of the 3 lovely tigers..

Kangaroos!~ (bounce, bounce..)

Elephants..(look closely, they're actually poop-ing!)

then, they lie in the same waters...(urgh!~)

6:30pm came all too soon. If it didn't rain, we could have covered more areas, like the Children's world Animal Land and Play Land, cuz that's where my brother looks forward most to every annual zoo visit. I muz admit the zoo holds a lot of my happy memories. All are actually happy memories, fun and memorable.

Like the primary school saying, we dragged our feets as though lead was tied to them, and went home reluctantly. Haha..typical primary school way of writing.

On the way home...

Ooh, Congratulations to Desmond Tan, our primary school classmate, for winning the title in the Inter JC pageant!~ Haha...

Schooling in december has never been more fun. And to think we had a briefing for one of our never-ending projects with the DMC year ones. Since primary school, i've been not very friendly to my juniors. It's the funny kind of attitude i have. I just feel juniors should have a little respect for seniors, no matter how successful they can be than their seniors. Sadly, it seems as the generation goes down, the quality of kids are getting worse and worse. Glad my bro is still presentabl as in, he wouldn't run around the restaurants and shopping centres and bang into every single irritable person trying desperately to get the long-awaited peace, he wouldn't scream when he's out of home, and he's always polite to elders and not at all rude in public. I'm rather thankful that my parents brought us up this way, and not like some uncles and aunties screaming at the top of their voices in places like buses and trains. Can't stand it. Do they think the whole world would like to know about their affairs? Do we care? No. Geez..so much for a gracious Singapore. One thing i'm sure, it a long long way there...

Well, in this ever-degrading society, all of us in various religions can only pray and hope for the best. Of course, all talk and no action isnt facourable too, so let's all do our part!

Alright, it sounds like some government PR campaign tagline..geez..

Til Then Folks...ChEeRs!~ ;)
