Uncle's Wedding-30 May 2005

Everyone in the family gathered for this long-awaited event. Uncle had announced his plans to get married with his psychologist girlfriend since last year and naturally everyone was quite excited. By the way, i enjoy attending wedding dinners, not exactly because of the good food, well, ok, a little, but also the atmosphere and the happiness in the air makes one feel good.

First, it was the morning tea-ceremony, and came the Brunch buffet. Upon looking, it was from Purple Sage catering...The food were good, and they didn't come cheap...

After food, it was leisure time. The adults occupied the living room and chat about everything, and the kids, yes, us(Diana, you're included!), went into one of the empty rooms, switch on the air-con, and started playing. Our playing included taking lotsa photos and funny videos, complete with hilarious kids talk.

Here goes...

Familiar?

Cai and Hao...My cousins...

Both of them were sleepy...

And so bro went to sleep...on the floor...

Hao loved climbing up there...

My mum, listening to the adults' talk outside...

3 little boys...

My mum and her sisters...

Our pants were the same colour...

One extra jeans...extra extra extra...

The Star formations...

What were you thinking???

Oooh...chatting?

I thought their house clock was unique..

Another thinking...

Hmm!

Grandma with Mum and bro..Bro looked eager to run away...

The condo design made you feel as if you were living in some roman castle...

Time flew once again and it was time to get home to prepare for the dinner at night. However, heaven decided to cry and threw not only cats and dogs, but whales and elephant down the sky so we couldnt get home on time. Then the alarm started ringing and all the lifts stopped. The worse thing was when grand-uncle climbed all the way down from the 17th story to the security guard office, the guards said they didnt know what to do, nor do they know how to deactivate the alarm, right.

For us, it was a feat to climb down 17 stories. It was definitely a mean feat for a 90+ year old great-grandmother to go all the way down. In the end, time pressed and there seemed no choice but to let great-grandma slowly climb down. It was only when she went down to the 7th story that the lift worked again. Poor great-grandma.

And it was dinner time.

While on the way, i was telling Dad and Mum that every wedding should have a tea-reception jus before the wedding dinner starts so that people can have a drink and some snacks to satisfy their stomachs a little while waiting for the late-comers.

There...the tea-reception by the pool i had expected.

The dinner...

Grand-uncle gave a Thank You speech..without a script..

Bride and Groom's turn...

My favourite Grandma and Grandpa...

Just the 4 of us...

After the dinner, it was time to go home...

Blissful marriage...The end of a fairy tale, the beginning of a new life...

Til then folks...
