Isn't the moon pretty? It looks big doesn't it? Many people will go "Wow, the moon's big!"

In fact, the moon is not any bigger than it always is. The size of the moon doesn't change, all this is caused by optical illusion, as enlightened by Dr Bryan Farha.

The reason why the moon looks bigger is because your eyes are comparing the building to the moon. When the moon's high up in the sky and there's nothing next to it for you to compare, it naturally looks much smaller.
