It's quite a fruitful day today cuz I've done quite a lot of things today, had been out since 8am plus til 11pm...

Firstly, the ladies met for project discussion today and we were sort of quite relaxed today. Nina tried the Instant noodles dispensing machine at the EEE block for the first time, and she didn't really liked the experience. All-time funny Clarice offered to buy and prepare the Laksa flavour noodles for Carine but mistaken the coconut for MSG and added just a little for the sake of Rine's health, causing the noodle to taste a little different from mine and Nina's...Rine almost killed her...Haha..

When 11:20 arrived, we packed up and looked for Winz at the SPINNOVEX's DMC booth. I told Ms Kwa that her favourite Keanu Reeves was at HongKong for the Asian Press Conference for his new movie, COnstantine. She really likes him man, as in like infatuated, and exclaimed(Oops, Ms Kwa, don't kill me...). Haha.. Ms Nga asked me whether i actually flew there and see him. Haha..

"No la, don't have such money." (He's not my idol in the 1st place..so...hee...If i had the money, i would have long flown to Taiwan to see...you-know-who la ;)...)

Winz remain for her duty and Carine got impatient with waiting and left. Nina, Clarice, and I then proceeded to the SP Convention Centre to watch the programmes, and of course, Nina's fav(at the moment, i think..)-- Taufik Batisah...

But before that, it was some EEE lecturer presenting their EEE courses, prospects, entry requirements..bla bla bla...All of us stoned at his presentation, but soon got awaken by his sharp and irritating noises in his presentation slides. I was thinking, surely there's some lecturer in EEE who can do a better job? I mean, it's something rather important, it's the school's open house. First impressions count a lot...

Never mind with him...Let's get on to more fun stuff...

Next up, the exhibition of 4 CCAs, the Daiko Drum team, Dance and Cheer, WuShu, and the Indian fushion dance group. When it was encore time, the Indian fushion dance group had the most cheers and came out to display their nice dance moves even though they were still panting from their first display. The mood was rather high then...

Then, came the most anticipated section of the day. The section where most of the people came for. The moment which made everyone stand up, the moment which made the majority go crazy....

"Let's welcome Taufik Batisah!"

It wasn't like a usual opening when you welcomed a singer. Normally, the singer would start singing his/her song to start the event. But apparently his contract didnt allow him to sing cuz SP didnt pay for him to come but invited him to this event.

Like Nina exclaimed, "He's basking in the attention!"

And the hosts started interviewing him...

Look at the crowd! The whole COnvention Centre was filled and still there were people trying desperately to squeeze in...The crowd was really impressive, it's the first time i've seen the convention centre actually filled up completely and still not big enough for an event.

Due to Raj's request, he sang portions of 2 songs and danced a little of Usher's dance steps. And i recorded all of these with my loveliest phone. Somehow the Samsung cable dear Nina provided me couln't transfer my videos, so it shall remain there for the time being...

Before Taufik appeared, the hosts started asking the crowd to search under the chair cuz it entitled one to go on stage to get an autographed poster and have a chance to speak or shake their hands with Taufik! The whole convention centre was like almost turned upside down and 50 lucky winners got onto the stage and met their favourite Singapore Idol.

When his section was coming to an end, we got a chance to watch media interview at work. Channel News Asia and Berita Harian interviewed him somewhere at the corner of the stage while the rest of his fans continued taking photos of his back.

At the end of the whole thing, Raj's shirt became Clarice and Nina's cuz it beared Taufik's signatures on both sides on the collar. These 2 ladies are actually gonna have his shirt split into two so each could have a side of the shirt.

Here's the nicer one(they claimed...)...

Everything ended...and the 2 hosts became the new idols cuz so many gals wanted to take a picture with them.....because of the signatures on their collar. Hahaha...Our 2 dear ladies werent an exception...

Winz then met us, Nity too. But Nity went home straight. Hmmm...Nity, why are you here for?

The 3 of them then went for some shopping spree and i went to meet my parents and bro at Chinatown for some Chinese New Year shopping. It still wasnt that bad in the day, it's the night that's really crowded.

Heaven and Earth was giving out free drinks for their latest product, green tea with peach blossom. It seemed the whole Chinatown was drinking Heaven and Earth's peach blossom. It's quite nice, but you get sick of it if you drink too many cans in a day. I admit, i drank 2 cans, seperated of course. I supposed many many others drink more than a can like me too.

I mean, it's free, it's pretty nice, and the booths are all around! Just take it!

It's quite a useful tool. The consumers actually get a taste of it, and unlimited cans are readily available everywhere at Chinatown. It might work more effectively than advertising, and production fees arent expensive, although they have to hire people to distribute them. And they arent dumb, they open the cans for you so you cant take it elsewhere to sell.

Hmmm...it's not a new method, but i think it's an effective one...

Anyway, after the celebrative mood was kept, we visited my grandpa at Alexandra hospital. My grandpa calls it Alexandra chalet, cuz he goes there time and again. (Choy! Touch wood touch wood touch wood)

My grandpa complains of back pains, and initial X-rays had the doctors suspecting a cracked backbone. Now he has to support himself with a walking stick. It hurts me to see grandpa go through all this... It might be troublesome if he were to discharge in the morning for Chinese New Year and back again in the evening, so grandpa has decided to stay in hospital. My cousin asked the doctor why, and the doctor explained that grandpa's bones are very fragile now, he didnt want my grandpa to take any risks of hurting his backbones further.

Haiz...We'll pray for him to get well soon...Hopefully he will...Yes, he definitely will..

Well...

Til Then Folks...
